We are working to develop solutions to improve and accelerate COVID-19 diagnostics. Currently, we have developed research protocols for SHERLOCK-based detection and 5-minute RNA preparation for RT-qPCR based detection, and most recently STOPCovid, a streamlined detection method with minimal equipment and steps. (The test has not been reviewed or approved by the FDA and is currently for research purposes only.)

We host a Google forum where scientists from institutions across the world can find answers to their questions about CRISPR usage in laboratory settings. Questions posted on the site are viewed and answered by members of the Zhang lab.
We recently shut down our guide design web tool, but we have compiled some resources that may be helpful if you need assistance with guide design.
Information and protocols for high-throughput loss-of-function screening with Cas9 can be found on the Sanjana lab webiste.
Interested in RNA targeting? We have written a primer on using Cas13.
